In fact, one study done by the National Strength and Conditioning Association showed that performing traditional cardio exercises for long durations actually left testosterone levels depressed at 24 and up to 48 hours post-exercise.
Testosterone determines how much belly fat you burn, and the speed of your muscle and joint recovery – and having your testosterone depressed for 48 hours means taking huge steps backward when it comes to reaching your fat loss goals.
Most men don’t realize this, but when a man hits his late twenties, his testosterone levels start to drop; and by the time you reach your forties or fifties, your testosterone levels could be so low that it’s significantly affecting your fat-burning metabolism and muscle mass.
What guys over 40 NEED to do are more exercises that target and improve your testosterone instead, and one of the best types of exercises that improve your test are compound exercises.
